Why I became a psychologist: Understanding human behavior is fascinating and there is nothing more gratifying than watching people heal and grow their capacity for living fully.

Personal interests: Meditation, yoga, canoeing, biking, walking, camping, skiing, healthy eating.
Favorite health tip: Practice gratitude and pride every day to support your mood and self-esteem. Move your body--keep it strong and flexible. You improve your mental health with every experience that nurtures your body, heart and mind. Be kind and forgive quickly.
Practice philosophy: Our health and happiness suffer when basic physical and emotional needs are unmet. We learn about how to get our needs met in relationships with others who are able to undertand our needs and care about us. Psychotherapy is about learning to identify those basic needs and how to get them met.
